Focus Foundation of BC gratefully acknowledges the contribution and support of Variety – The Children’s Charity of BC. These funds allowed us to purchase complementary supports that assist youth with issues of health, education, socialization and emotional control. The funds are utilized to provide one-to-one tutoring; group counseling, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of therapeutic intervention including off site interventions in the evening as needed.

Variety – The Children’s Charity of BC’s mission is to raise funds and distribute grants throughout British Columbia to inspire hope, enrich lives, and build a better future for children who have special needs. Focus Foundation of BC is proud to recognize the generous gifts of the CKNW Orphans’ Fund. The Orphans’ Fund provides funding for and creates a partnership with youth who would not otherwise receive the therapeutic supports they need to be successful at the Whytecliff Agile Learning Centres in Burnaby and Langley.

Established in 1945, the CKNW Orphans’ Fund has always been committed to helping kids with physical, mental, and social disadvantages. Through its Annual Pledge Drive and other regular fundraising events, the Orphans’ Fund contributes to children and youth causes across the province. CKNW AM980, a division of Corus Entertainment, provides promotional and marketing services for the Orphans’ Fund and donates funds to cover administrative costs.
