A Proven Record of Success

Our results speak for themselves. In the most recent 2006-2007 school year, Focus BC served a total of 128 youths, including 82 in Langley and 46 in Burnaby. Here’s how they did:

• Overall attendance exceeds 77 per cent.
• 41 BC provincial exams were written and 40 exams were passed.
• The rate of course completion exceeded similar populations in BC public schools.
• Students take a full range of BC Public School Courses including Biology, CAPP, Earth Science, English, Biology, Fine Arts, Home Economics, Math, Physical Education, Planning, Science, Social Studies, First Nations Studies, Visual Arts, and Work Experience.
• Careful examination of the school’s timetable and course offerings shows that the number of hours of instruction provided exceeds the prescribed Ministry time requirements.

Our programs have achieved standards for international CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) Accreditation. CARF is an independent, non-profit accreditor of human service providers that currently accredits more than 4,900 providers at 17,000 locations in the Canada, the United States, Western Europe and South America.

The Focus Foundation has also been recognized for its excellence by a number of eminent Canadian and American authorities in the field who have endorsed its programs.
