Learning and Growth at Whytecliffe

Whytecliff Agile Learning Centres are provincially accredited, independent schools for boys and girls, aged 12-19, who face personal or behavioural challenges. Many of our students have dropped out of school, been excluded or expelled.

We help these young people achieve emotional equilibrium, complete formal courses, and develop a positive and more engaged attitude towards learning.

At our Whytecliff schools every student has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Programs are designed to foster talents, to gain a sense of direction and to meet the requirements of grade 12 graduation. Students attend the program through sponsorship by a government ministry, privately sponsored scholarships and by tuition.

Whytecliff school sites are located in Burnaby and Langley and reach out to the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. In addition to these centres, we are seeking to set up smaller localized learning labs in other communities such as West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Vancouver, Surrey, Richmond, Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, and Abbotsford.

Praised for Excellence
The Ministry of Education’s most recent formal evaluation of Whytecliffe commended the administration and staff for their commitment to the school vision, for their caring, respectful attitude towards the students and for their impressive results. The success of Whytecliff is reflected in high student attendance rates, course completion, task-on-time behaviour, re-connections made to other schools, and positive behavioural changes. A number of students have also gone on to post-secondary education.
